すきま時間の編み物の話 ー FUDGEの編み物特集が良かったです

編み物特集につられてFUDGEを買った話

相変わらず、すきま時間に編み物をしています。
上達しているかと言われると微妙ですが、手を動かす時間自体は、すっかり生活の一部になりました。

そうなると、不思議なもので、
街でもネットでも「ニット」がやたら目に入るようになります。

可愛いニットが編みたくて

先日、本屋でFUDGEを手に取りました。
編み物の特集があると知っていたので、

「今、どんなニットが流行っているんだろう」
「どんなニットデザイナーの方がいるんだろう」

そんなことが気になって、なんとなく立ち読み……のつもりが、そのまま購入。

実用というより、完全にインプット目的です。

FUDGEの編み物特集

中を見てみると、想像以上に可愛いニットがたくさん載っていました。
シルエットも色も、どれも今っぽくて、
「こういうの、編めたらいいな」
と思うものばかり。

編み図が欲しい、というより、
「こういう雰囲気を目指したい」
という気持ちになる誌面です。

ニットデザイナーの名前が自然に出てくるのも楽しくて、
「こういう世界があるんだな」と、ただ眺めているだけでも満足感があります。

大満足の一冊

正直なところ、買ってよかったです。
可愛いニットが多くて、ページをめくるたびに楽しい。

すぐに何かを編み始めるわけではないけれど、
頭の片隅に「こんなニットがいいな」というイメージが増えた感じ。

前回は毛糸を買って、
今回はFUDGE。

編み物そのものだけでなく、
そのまわりにある情報や空気感も含めて楽しんでいる気がします。

FUDGEは、今は毛糸の横に置いてあります。
編みながら眺めることもあれば、
ただ可愛いニットを見て満足して終わる日もあります。

それくらいの距離感で、ちょうどいい趣味です。

I Bought FUDGE to Knit Cuter Sweaters

Lately, knitting has been a quiet but steady part of my daily life.
I’m not rushing to finish anything, and I’m definitely not chasing perfection.
I just knit when I have time—and somehow, that’s been enough.

As a result, I’ve started paying more attention to knitwear in general.

Wanting to know what’s “in” right now

I picked up FUDGE because I wanted to knit something cute.
Simple as that.

I was curious about what kinds of knitwear are trending right now,
and which knit designers people are paying attention to.

I wasn’t looking for patterns or instructions.
This was more about inspiration.

Knits, the FUDGE way

The knitting feature was exactly what I hoped it would be.
Lots of cute sweaters, beautiful silhouettes, and a very calm, stylish mood.

It’s less “how to knit this”
and more “this is what knitwear looks like right now.”

Seeing knitwear presented this way made me want to knit—not urgently,
but in a gentle, “someday I’d like to make something like this” kind of way.

Discovering designers through a magazine

One thing I really enjoyed was learning about different knit designers.
Names I hadn’t known before came up naturally,
and that alone felt worth the purchase.

It’s nice to be reminded that knitting isn’t just a hobby you do at home—
it’s also part of a wider creative world.

Completely worth it

Honestly, I’m very happy I bought it.
There are so many cute knits in this issue that just flipping through the pages is fun.

I haven’t started a new project yet,
but now I have more images, shapes, and ideas floating around in my head.

After buying yarn, and now buying FUDGE,
I’m realizing that lately I’ve been enjoying not just knitting itself,
but everything around it—magazines, visuals, and inspiration.

FUDGE now lives next to my yarn.
Sometimes I knit while looking at it.
Sometimes I just look.

Either way, it feels like exactly the kind of hobby I want right now.
